Rewarding experience at St Joseph’s

Centrally located in the heart of Port Lincoln, St Joseph’s School has a proud 150-year tradition of providing quality Catholic education on the Eyre Peninsula.

St Joseph’s is a coeducational school offering learning from preschool to year 12, also including a modern and supportive 24/7 boarding house for students in years 7 to 12.

Guided by Catholic identity and values of faith, hope, respect and love, the school focuses on the whole development of each student – academic, emotional, social and spiritual.

Its warm and inclusive culture fosters a strong sense of connection between students, staff and families.

The early years programs are a particular highlight, giving children the best possible start in a nurturing, play-based environment.

Little Saints Playgroup and the purpose-built preschool support the development of relationships, curiosity and confidence.

With onsite OSHC also available, families benefit from continuity of care and a familiar, welcoming setting.

The school is proud of the achievements of its students across all stages of learning.

From receiving outstanding ATAR and SACE results and scholarships to sporting achievements, musical talents and community service, St Joseph’s students are encouraged to aim high and celebrate their progress.

Academic excellence is recognised and rewarded across primary and secondary years.

Students regularly participate in cross-age buddy programs, creating meaningful relationships between year levels and is a highlight for the students.

At the end of this year, construction will begin on the next capital project – ‘The Heart of the School’.

This major development will feature a new reception area, student services, administration offices, café, OSHC space, staff facilities, and a multipurpose hall with capacity for 600 people.

A vibrant new play space will also transform the school’s frontage along Mortlock Terrace, providing engaging and dynamic play and recreation opportunities for primary students to explore, create and connect, now and into the future.

Enrolments for the 2027 school year close on September 26, 2025.

Interested families who are looking at schooling options can book a scheduled tour via the school website – sjspl.catholic.edu.au – contact enrolments@sjspl.catholic.edu.au or phone 8683 2400.
