The Ceduna branch of the South Australian Country Women’s Association (SACWA) hosted another informative and entertaining meeting at the Anglican Church Hall on Tuesday, March 11.
President Jenny Skinner welcomed five members, with one apology from Elaine Kloock.
Each member was given a flyer for the country of study for 2025, which is Slovenia.
Crafts will be hosted next Tuesday at Elaine’s place.
On Tuesday, April 8, Ceduna members will be travelling to Streaky Bay for the Far Western Group meeting, while the Ceduna branch meeting will be the following week – Tuesday, April 15 – and all are welcome to attend.
It was noted that SACWA membership for 2026-27 is to be paid by August 31, 2025.
Kath Dunn and Annette Moyse are celebrating birthdays in March and both received their chocolates from Jenny.
The judges for the competitions were Judy Gregory and Jenny.
Annette and Jenny finished on 10 points in the bloom competition, while Kath was on nine points.
Kath and Annette were locked on 10 points in the crafts competition.
The roll call was the president’s choice and saw members tell of a quirky saying they remembered their mother or father telling them.
All enjoyed hearing them and many had a good laugh at the sayings.
A cuppa, sandwiches and cake went down well on another day of caring and sharing together.
