Auxiliary meeting
Ceduna Hospital & Village Auxiliary will be holding its bimonthly meeting today, Thursday, July 3 in the Ceduna Anglican Hall at 10.30am. The group is always looking for new members, so come along and join in.
Cummins dementia event
A Memory Café will be held on Friday, July 4 from 10am to noon in Cummins Sports Club (Ramblers’ side). Hear about what can be done for Cummins to be a dementia-friendly community and how to support those living with dementia. Planning is underway to form a local support group. Free entry with support from Cummins Lions Club and Cummins Op Shop. All are welcome to come along.
Cellar Folk Club
Port Lincoln’s Cellar Folk Club will celebrate its 31st anniversary at 7.30pm on Saturday, July 5 and all are welcome to mark the occasion at the Living Waters Baptist Church Cafe (7 Ravendale Road). Join in or listen – everyone is welcome. Bring something celebratory for supper, with tea and coffee available for a donation. There is no admission charge. Enquiries to Ron on 0428 886 870.
NAIDOC Week – Ceduna

Biggest Morning Tea
Cleve Country Quilters are hosting a Biggest Morning Tea at the Cleve RSL Hall on Wednesday, July 9. The $5 entry will go to the Cancer Council. Enjoy morning tea and a trading table. The quilt raffle to be drawn that day.
Community BBQ and comedy show
Join Streaky Bay District Council for a gourmet barbecue and comedy show to help support local farming communities at 4pm on Friday, July 11 at Poochera Sports Complex. There will also be a show and shine, health checks and demos, a kids’ sausage sizzle and entertainment. RSVP by July 1 to 8626 7033 for catering purposes.
Hunt Club Ball
Upper Eyre Hunt Club is hosting its Hunt Club Ball on Saturday, July 12 at Minnipa Hall. There will be homemade supper, bar facilities and live music. 70 years’ celebration
Wanilla Rangers Netball Club is celebrating 70 years on Saturday, July 19, with an A grade showcase game at the Port Lincoln Netball Association netball courts, followed by a cocktail event at 6pm for a 6.30pm start at Port Lincoln Yacht Club. Tickets are $70 per person, with cocktail food by Damien Mrdjen, music by KBeez Gang and a silent auction. The dress code is cocktail, with a black and white theme.
Garage Girls show
Garage Girls is coming to Ceduna and Cummins in August. Hosted by Country Arts SA, the performance is inspired by Alice Anderson’s short but eventful life, taking you from Melbourne’s mysterious underbelly to the deserts of Alice Springs. The show will be at the Ceduna Sports Sports Club on Thursday, August 7 and the Cummins Community Hall on Saturday, August 9 – both at 7pm. Wirrulla Mock Wedding
The Wirrulla Hall Committee invites all to attend a Mock Wedding Fundraiser. Dress up in your best op shop wedding guest attire and expect a fun-filled evening complete with a cheeky ceremony, dinner, dancing, and loads of entertainment – all in the name of raising funds to keep the hall up and running. The event is at 6.30pm on Saturday, August 9 at Wirrulla Hall. More details and ticket sales coming soon.
Border Dash
Register now for the 35th annual Border Dash on Saturday, October 11. The iconic 13-kilometre run starts in Western Australia and crosses into South Australia to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service. After the dash, stick around for a barbecue and charity auction. Blue Water Raiders Dragon Boat Club
Come and join the group for a morning paddle in the beautiful calm waters of Tumby Bay. The dragon boaters meet every Sunday, weather permitting, at 7.45am, at the Tumby Bay marina boat ramp. No experience is necessary, with life jackets and paddles supplied. Enjoy a single paddle or become a new member.
