Cleve gears up for Christmas

There are lots of Christmas events for people to enjoy at Cleve this month, including the annual community carols and the pageant.

Primary school concert

The Masked Dancer is the theme for Cleve’s primary students’ end of year concert from 10am until 11.10am today, Thursday, December 7 on the primary oval at the school.

Students from kindergarten to year 6 will take part.

People need to take their own chair.

Outdoor carols

Cleve Community Christmas Carols will go outdoors this year – being held on the Cleve Area School oval, under the trees against the gym.

The evening will start with a free barbecue at 6.30pm, followed by the carols from 7pm, on Sunday, December 10.

Cleve School Choir and Cleve Melody Singers will both perform at the event.

Those attending need to bring their own chairs or picnic rug.

Auxiliary lunch

Any potential members are welcome to get involved with Cleve District Hospital Auxiliary and attend its Christmas lunch at Cleve Hotel on Tuesday, December 11.

Those going should arrive at 11am with a general meeting to be held at 11.30am followed by lunch.

Enquiries and RSVP to Kelly Dolling on 0409 177 562.

Gingerbread house workshop

A gingerbread house workshop will be held for teenagers at Cleve Uniting Church hall on Friday, December 15 from 6pm to 9pm.

It will be the final F7 Youth event for 2023 but all students from years 7 to 12 are welcome to attend.

They will need to RSVP as the pieces to make the gingerbread houses will be baked in advance, for them to assemble on the night. Contact Karen Peters on 0427 284 148.

Annual pageant

The annual Cleve District Christmas Pageant will be held on Friday, December 22 starting at 6pm. Join in the fun, including live music.
