Firefighters battling Coulta fire

Country Fire Service (CFS) crews are responding to a scrub fire near Coulta.

Firefighters have been on the scene since before 1pm, with the fire burning towards Marble Range.

CFS volunteers on six trucks, supported by Farm Fire Units and aircraft, including firebombers and observational aircraft, are working to extinguish the fire currently burning in the scrub.

Additional support headed to the fire and people in the area are encouraged to stay alert.

At 2.25pm an advice warning message was issued by the CFS, asking people to monitor local conditions and stay informed if they are in the area.

At this time there is no threat to life or property and firefighters are attending this fire.

Smoke can be seen from surrounding areas and will be visible from Flinders Highway.

Roads are currently open around the incident, however this may change at short notice.

Continue to monitor road closures at traffic.sa.gov.au
