Locals help get full clearance

There was plenty of local support at the annual Wiabuna White Dorper Stud on-property sale as a full clearance was secured.

The sale on Tuesday, September 23 was held at the property about 25 kilometres west of Ceduna, with all 55 White Dorpers that were offered sold at an average price of $1800 and an equal top price of $2400 – which was achieved three times.

Dave Peters and Ricky Miller shared the top price buyers honours.

Wiabuna White Dorper stud principal Nevilie Hoffrichter was very happy with how the sale went and was grateful for the local support the sale received.

“It was really good and it was great to get so much support from local buyers,” he said.

Among the three top-priced White Dorpers, Mr Hoffrichter said there were a few traits that stood out.

“The eye muscle, fat percentage and quick growth rates stood out, which is what we look to target,” he said.

The sale was conducted by Nutrien West Coast Ag.
